Hope this new week comes full of gratitude for life, health and family. May we cherish the blessings around us in these challenging times.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Feeling grateful improves integral health as it boosts our receptivity, acknowledgement and awareness of the relationships around us. Science has proven several benefits from gratefulness in our daily lives, for example:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reduces stress levels\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Boosts the immune system\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reduces blood pressure and\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Improves the sleeping patterns<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is highly important to train the brain to be grateful and teach kids about its importance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The following are some strategies to help kids feel grateful (<\/span>taken from the book \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Making Grateful Kids\u00e2\u20ac, from Jeffrey J. Froh and Giacomo Bono<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">):<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Strategy No. 2<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; Help children regulate negative emotions by being a calm problem solver, by labeling and validating their emotions, and by replacing their negative thoughts with positive ones.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Strategy No. 8<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; Be a role model for children in thanking and giving. Encourage them to thank, give and be thoughtful toward friends, particularly using their character strengths.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Strategy No. 25<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; Model positive relationship behaviors with family and friends by being generous and thanking others. Encourage children to do the same.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For more information on the strategies, please refer to the document attached.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>What are you grateful for?
