{"id":246343,"date":"2023-11-24T10:50:21","date_gmt":"2023-11-24T15:50:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rochesterapps.com\/rochestereduco\/lions-honor\/pin-information"},"modified":"2023-11-24T10:50:21","modified_gmt":"2023-11-24T15:50:21","slug":"pin-information","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rochesterapps.com\/rochestereduco\/lions-honor\/pin-information","title":{"rendered":"Pin Information"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dear Parents:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We wish to clarify some concerns about the difference between Texts &#038;Toolkits and &#8220;Bibliobanco&#8221; .\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>TEXTS AND TOOLS<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To this end, the School Management carefully reviewed the list of Texts and Toolkits, trying to request only the necessary material and facilitate online learning through different platforms that support and enrich the learning processes. As part of such list, the following digital texts (pins) were requested. They use the PLENO platform of Santillana Publishing House:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Activamente Espa\u00c3\u00b1ol &#8211; 4th to 12th Grade<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Activamente Sociales &#8211; Grades 2nd to 12th Grade<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Convivencia y Paz &#8211; 6th, 7th and 8th Grade<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Santillana Publishing House has given us a month of grace, which means that all our students will have the platform active for one month; afterwards, only the students who have purchased the digital text (pin) will remain active.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Similarly, for Twelfth Grade, digital texts were requested for the subjects AP Calculus, AP Physics, AP Statistics and AP Biology from the Pearson Publishing House.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the classes for this and next week, the\u00c2\u00a0 teachers of each subject will be providing the students with the corresponding <\/span><b>usernames and passwords<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and will make sure each student has access.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>BIBLIOBANCO\u00c2\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With respect to &#8220;Bibliobanco&#8221;, imported material provided by the School, the digital texts are as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">English 4th and 5th Grade &#8211; Avallain Platform<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">English 6th to 12th Grade &#8211; MyElt Platform<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Life &#038; Choice Theory 6th, 7th, and 8th Grades &#8211; Teen Health with Healthy Relationships and Sexuality, Digital Student Center<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Math and Natural Science 4th and 5th Grade &#8211; Pathblazer Platform<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mathematics and Natural Science in grades 6-12, Social Science in English in grades 7, 8, 9, and 10, and some elective courses included in the platform &#8211; Edgenuity Platform<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Teachers will submit usernames and passwords for these platforms and\/or texts during the classes of each subject. <\/span><b><i>In the case of English from 4th to 12th grade (except for the AP English Language and Composition class), it is necessary to pick up the corresponding book in Block 3, Floor 1, Learning Resources Center (CRA), taking into account that each book comes with the student&#8217;s access code, and without this, students will not be able to access the digital platform.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For additional information on Texts and Toolkits, please contact Diana Alba (FonRochester), dmalba@rochester.edu.co, and for additional information on Bibliobanco, please contact Susi Rodr\u00c3<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Parents: We wish to clarify some concerns about the difference between Texts &#038;Toolkits and &#8220;Bibliobanco&#8221; .\u00c2\u00a0 TEXTS AND TOOLS To this end, the School Management carefully reviewed the list of Texts and Toolkits, trying to request only the necessary material and facilitate online learning through different platforms that support and enrich the learning processes.
