The High School English team is excited to share with you that we are building a network of college professors locally, and hopefully, internationally after September, to collaborate together and bring a different experience to 12th graders who are soon to be college students and are eager to discover the implications of college commitment. We are working on discovering the important aspects of high quality such as referencing, quoting and citing authors properly to accomplish an authentic production.\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Students have explored the degrees of plagiarism, the strategies used to avoid it and the consequences of ignoring how unintentional plagiarism takes place.\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This month we will have 2 professors from Santo Tomas University accompanying our sophomores during a workshop where students will be able to interact with our guest speakers, inquire about different academic environments and experience a college-type session.\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We promise to share the link upon conclusion of the session, on September the 7th, so you can all have the opportunity to join the experience too.\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Resumen:\u00c2\u00a0<\/i><\/b>Es un placer para el equipo de Ingl\u00e9s de Bachillerato Alto compartir con ustedes que estamos en proceso de crear una red de profesores universitarios a nivel local, y esperamos, para septiembre, lograrlo a nivel internacional, con el fin de de crear una colaboraci\u00c3\u00b3n mutua y llevarle una experiencia diferente a los alumnos de 11mo Grado, quienes pronto ser\u00c3\u00a1n estudiantes universitarios y est\u00c3\u00a1n ansiosos por descubrir las implicaciones del compromiso universitario. Estamos trabajando en descubrir los aspectos importantes de una buena calidad, tales como saber referenciar y citar autores debidamente para lograr una producci\u00c3\u00b3n aut\u00e9ntica.\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Los estudiantes exploraron los niveles de plagio, las estrategias utilizadas para evitarlo y las consecuencias de ignorar c\u00c3\u00b3mo tiene lugar el plagio no intencionado.\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Este mes tendremos 2 profesores de la Universidad Santo Tom\u00c3\u00a1s acompa\u00c3\u00b1ando a nuestros estudiantes de 10mo Grado durante un taller en el que los estudiantes podr\u00c3\u00a1n interactuar con nuestros conferencistas invitados, consultar sobre los diversos ambientes acad\u00e9micos y experimentar una sesi\u00c3\u00b3n de tipo universitario.\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n
