Second Grade students enjoyed this time working on THE NEWS as a central topic, where from inferences they discovered that News is an informative text where an event that happened, in reality, is reported. They also recognized that it has an important intention and that is to generate curiosity and disseminate a novel event; on the other hand, it was recalled that when news is written, it must be truthful; that is to say that before being drafted and published, the truth of the information must be checked.<\/p>\n
At the end of the activity, students wrote a news story taking into account the structure, and characteristics and without neglecting its intention. They wrote the headline, and the intro, they made use of the photo and caption, and they wrote the body of the news and the conclusion.<\/p>\n
They chose between four relevant or important topics that had occurred at school in recent days and in this way they developed the news more easily, these contexts being close to them.<\/p>\n
