It was dedicated to the mothers and fathers of our Pre-Kinder and Kinder students to support them as they share in their children\u2019s process of enjoying reading and developing as skilled readers.<\/p>\n<p>In this workshop, we discussed the importance of reading\u00a0<em>before\u00a0<\/em>letter recognition, and reading strategies supported by illustrations, a kind of reading which develops imagination and spoken grammatical structure. We approached the relevance of expressing complete, coherent ideas orally while keeping hold of the stories\u2019 guiding thread. Parents who attended were able to live the experience themselves, and could enjoy, ask questions, and clarify ideas to strengthen emotional ties through reading books.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>Desde el Centro de Recursos para el Aprendizaje (CRA) y en el marco del el programa \u201cLa alegr\u00eda de leer\u201d, realizamos el pasado jueves 29 de septiembre el taller\u00a0<b>LEER SIN LETRAS,<\/b>\u00a0dirigido a las madres y padres de los estudiantes de prejard\u00edn y jard\u00edn, con el \u00e1nimo de apoyarlos con estrategias para acompa\u00f1ar a sus hijos en el proceso del disfrute de la lectura y su formaci\u00f3n como lectores.<br \/> En el taller conversamos acerca de la importancia de la lectura antes de las letras, la lectura apoyada en las ilustraciones desarrollando la imaginaci\u00f3n y se abord\u00f3 la relevancia de expresar oralmente las ideas con sentido completo, llevando el hilo conductor de las historias.<br \/> Los padres y madres asistentes vivieron la experiencia, pudieron disfrutar, preguntar y aclarar ideas para crear lazos afectivos a trav\u00e9s de los libros.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"629\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rmPD55-UIIw\" title=\"Luis Fernado Ortiz Padre de Violeta Ortiz KC\" width=\"1118\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"629\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/VYmskpLLDuY\" title=\"Diana Carolina Tellez Madre de Maximiliano Ibag\u00f3n PKA\" width=\"1118\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Olga Margarita Boh\u00f3rquez<br \/> Reading Coach<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Held by the Learning Resources Center and as part of the framework of the \u201cJoy of Reading\u201d program, our READING WITH NO LETTERS workshop took place last Thursday, September 29th.
