During these planting activities we have been accompanied by students and parents from different grades of our institution, in order to share a morning to contribute to the protection, restoration and promotion of a sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems. As a statistic, to understand the importance of the tree planting program, we must take into account that every hour, 0.14 hectares are cut down in Colombia. Rochester School has 2.8 hectares, which means that every 20 hours, an area equivalent to that of our school is cut down. During the current school year, we have planted 2900 native trees in different lots of the Municipality of Ch\u00eda, in addition to the 8850 trees we have planted since 2019.\u00a0<br \/> Thanks to our actions we contribute to mitigate the effects of CO2 emissions and rethink our daily actions to make them sustainable. Likewise, with the planting of the 11750 native trees, it is evident how our community acts in a concrete way to contribute to the recovery of the natural areas that surround us. Durante estas jornadas de siembras nos han acompa\u00f1ado estudiantes y padres de familia de diferentes grados de nuestra instituci\u00f3n con el prop\u00f3sito de compartir una ma\u00f1ana en la cual aportamos a la protecci\u00f3n, restauraci\u00f3n y promoci\u00f3n del uso sostenible de los ecosistemas terrestres. Como dato estad\u00edstico, para comprender la importancia del programa de siembra de \u00e1rboles, hay que tener en cuenta que cada hora se talan 0.14 hect\u00e1reas en Colombia. El Colegio Rochester tiene 2.8 hect\u00e1reas, esto significa, que cada 20 horas se tala un \u00e1rea equivalente a la de nuestro Colegio. Durante el presente a\u00f1o escolar hemos plantado 2900 \u00e1rboles nativos en diferentes lotes del Municipio de Ch\u00eda, los cuales se suman a los 8850 \u00e1rboles que hemos sembrado desde el 2019. Gracias a nuestra acciones contribuimos a mitigar los efectos de las emisiones de CO2 y a repensar nuestras acciones diarias para que sean sostenibles. As\u00ed mismo, con la siembra de los 11750 \u00e1rboles nativos se evidencia como nuestra comunidad act\u00faa de manera concreta a contribuir a la recuperaci\u00f3n de las \u00e1reas naturales que nos rodean.
