This week we started our new unit: I like food.<\/p>\n<p>Students were able to share their preferences with food and use all the vocabulary related to this topic. They practice through songs, flash cards and real food. They also were able to read and write sentences, using the high frequency words the knew and practice the new structure I Like.Recognizing and being able to read high-frequency words gives children the confidence they need. High-frequency words provide the building blocks for children&#8217;s reading<b> <\/b>success. Learning to recognize these words quickly and automatically is an important step in becoming a fluent reader.<\/p>\n<p>During this class activity students were able to play and have fun, feeling successful using the high frequency words and the food vocabulary.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conozco y uso las palabras de uso frecuente<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Los estudiantes de k\u00ednder disfrutan aprendiendo vocabulario en ingl\u00e9s a trav\u00e9s de un proceso de construcci\u00f3n de significado, aprender sobre el mundo a trav\u00e9s de unidades basadas en temas proporciona una base significativa para una variedad de tareas ling\u00fc\u00edsticas. Esta semana comenzamos nuestra nueva unidad: Me gusta la comida.<\/p>\n<p>Los estudiantes pudieron compartir sus preferencias con la comida y usar todo el vocabulario relacionado con este tema. Practicaron a trav\u00e9s de canciones, im\u00e1genes\u00a0 y comida real.
