CONGRATULATIONS to the Twelfth Grade, as well as to the rest of the cast, who, with the Creative Team, composed by the Directors of each of the Areas, Music, Dance, Scenography and Theater, the Scriptwriters, the Logistics Team and the collaboration of the Parents, Principalship, Level Directors and Presidency, achieved a show worthy of our school, led by the inspirational fairy of dreams: Iliana Aljure!<\/b><\/p>\n

In these few lines, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to the artists of all ages who participated in Chronicle of an Ineffable Country<\/i><\/b>. Their unconditional dedication, commitment and unbridled passion inspired this staging that transported us to the Colombia of the 40’s. From the youngest to the most experienced, they left their mark, investing long days of rehearsals and endless hours of dedication. Their work made every moment magical, transmitting emotions and feelings, from which we laughed, cried and reflected, with deep admiration. Their participation in Chronicle of an Ineffable Country<\/i><\/b> will be remembered as an invaluable contribution and evidence of the unquestionable talent that exists in every corner of our community.<\/p>\n

Special recognition and thanks to the entire team of Twelfth Grade students, teachers and non-teaching staff who worked hard to make this show a reality.<\/b> Their dedication, passion and talent were reflected in every aspect of the production, from acting and dance to music and set design.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/picture><\/figure>\n

Chronicle of an Ineffable Country<\/i> <\/b>not only managed to entertain and move the audience, but also showed that the integration of the academic curriculum between the different subjects, Arts Education, Social Studies, Spanish and Virtues Development, among others, had the great power to unite people and transmit a powerful message. The entire production is an unmistakable testament to the talent and creativity of students, teachers and guest directors, as well as the support and collaboration of the community at large.<\/p>\n

The play was conceived from the imagination of five Twelfth Grade writers, Josu\u00e9 Ariza, Sarah Jim\u00e9nez, Mariana Carrillo, Danna Garc\u00eda and Daniella Silva Mori<\/b>, who, together with Gustavo Giraldo<\/b>, the scriptwriter, worked tirelessly to bring to life the story of Aureliano and his chronicle of the bipartisan conflict that pitted the Conservatives and Liberals of the “Bogotazo” era in 1948.<\/p>\n

This is how the show focused on the love story between Edgar and Elvira, he former from a liberal family and the latter from a conservative family, two young dreamers who struggled to stay together in the midst of turbulent political events. Through its unique and emotional narrative, Chronicle of an Ineffable Country<\/i> <\/b>highlighted the beauty of Colombia and what unites us as citizens.<\/p>\n

With a total of three performances, one on Friday, May 26 and two on Saturday, May 27, this show was able to move a large audience. It is important to highlight the social commitment of Chronicle of an Ineffable Country<\/i>,<\/b> during Saturday’s performance at 11:30 a.m. Our contribution to Social Sustainability consisted of donating half of the seats free of charge to low-income and disadvantaged people in the Rochester School’s area of influence. The Rochester Educational Foundation<\/b> managed the delivery of 80 tickets<\/b> for low-income families of the Shared Bread<\/b> Project of the Fonquet\u00e1 Educational Institution. Likewise, families of collaborators from Infrastructure, Food, Security and other areas of Rochester School were benefited, together with some relatives of allied institutions.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

One of the highlights of this achievement was the collaboration and support provided by the Family Compensation Fund, COMPENSAR<\/b>. This renowned organization purchased a total of 168 tickets<\/b> to benefit these low-income families, contributing significantly to the success of the event. Their generosity in purchasing $15,120,000<\/b> worth of tickets allowed many more people to enjoy the show and thus support the work of the students. Website sales reached an impressive $73,080,000<\/b>, reflecting the great public interest in the show. A total of 812<\/b> tickets were sold, showing the enthusiastic response from the community.<\/p>\n
