Generating connections As teachers at Rochester School, we dedicate time in our classes to guide our students in the most comprehensive way possible; in such a way that we can involve both disciplinary and technological components and of course the connection with the theory of choice.<\/p>\n

To achieve this effect in the first unit of Earth, Space & Physical Science, which is about the conservation of mass, we used a strategy that could demonstrate the aforementioned integration:<\/p>\n

We are carrying out different laboratory practices in which we appreciate that by having different reagents, we can all control the quantities used, the state of the components and the precision in measurements and mixtures that are intended to be made. But in each case, the effects achieved due to the choices we have made are not in our control, but are the result of what we have done. We connect this with the possibility that all human beings have to have control over our decisions and actions that we carry out, however the consequences will be subject to them without us being able to manipulate them; If we want to obtain an effect with particular characteristics, we must foresee it from our initial actions. If we want to obtain consequences that conform to our desires, it is necessary that our actions and decisions be so conscious that we feel satisfied with the results we obtain in our daily lives.<\/p>\n

Generando conexiones<\/em><\/p>\n

Como docentes del Colegio Rochester, dedicamos tiempo en nuestras clases para guiar a nuestros estudiantes de la forma m\u00e1s integral posible; de tal manera que podamos involucrar componentes tanto disciplinares, tecnol\u00f3gicos y por supuesto la conexi\u00f3n con la teor\u00eda de la elecci\u00f3n.<\/em><\/p>\n

Para lograr este efecto en la primera unidad de Earth, Space & Physical Science, que es acerca de la conservaci\u00f3n de la masa, utilizamos una estrategia que pudiera evidenciar la integraci\u00f3n mencionada:\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Estamos realizando diferentes pr\u00e1cticas de laboratorio en la que apreciamos que al tener diferentes reactivos, todos podemos controlar las cantidades utilizadas, el estado de los componentes y la precisi\u00f3n en medidas y mezclas que se pretenden hacer. Pero en cada caso, los efectos logrados debido a las elecciones que hemos hecho, no est\u00e1n en nuestro control, sino que son el resultado de lo que hemos hecho. Esto lo conectamos con la posibilidad que tenemos todos los seres humanos de tener control sobre nuestras decisiones y acciones que realizamos, sin embargo las consecuencias estar\u00e1n sujetas a ellas sin que las podamos manipular; si queremos obtener un efecto con caracter\u00edsticas particulares, debemos preverlo desde nuestras aciones iniciales. Si queremos obtener consecuencias que se ajusten a nuestros deseos, es necesario que nuestras acciones y decisiones sean tan conscientes que nos sintamos satisfechos de los resultados que obtengamos en nuestra vida diaria.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
