The first year of school marks an important moment in the life of a child and his or her family. Children begin to explore a new environment, meet their classmates, establish relationships with their teachers, live and explore new feelings, and what a better way than to accompany this adaptation process with reading stories.<\/p>\n
The interaction with stories that we provide at Rochester School is essential for cognitive and emotional development, where children learn values, empathy and social skills by identifying with the characters and understanding their experiences.<\/p>\n
For this stage the stories that were read had the purpose of exploring some situations and feelings that may arise in this new path of starting school, also to promote the emotional connection with the adults who read to them in this case their teachers, thus generating a warm environment around reading.<\/p>\n
We invite all families to provide early access to the world of books, having reading material\u00a0 available at home and through the loan of texts made here in the library, establishing the basis for future reading habits, improving concentration and attention skills and promoting\u00a0 warm and close feelings towards reading.<\/p>\n
Olga Margarita Boh\u00f3rquez —————————————————————————<\/p>\n El primer a\u00f1o de colegio marca un importante momento en la vida de un ni\u00f1o y su familia, los ni\u00f1os empiezan a explorar un nuevo entorno, conocer a sus compa\u00f1eros de clase, a establecer relaciones con sus maestros, a vivir y explorar nuevos sentimientos y que mejor manera que acompa\u00f1ar este proceso de adaptaci\u00f3n con la lectura de cuentos.<\/em><\/p>\n La interacci\u00f3n con cuentos que brindamos en el colegio Rochester es fundamental para el desarrollo cognitivo y emocional, donde los ni\u00f1os aprenden valores, empat\u00eda y habilidades sociales al identificarse con los personajes y comprender sus experiencias.<\/em><\/p>\n Para esta etapa se leyeron cuentos cuya finalidad era explorar algunas situaciones y sentimientos que pueden presentarse en este nuevo camino de inicio al colegio, tambi\u00e9n favorecer la conexi\u00f3n afectiva con los adultos que les leen en esta caso sus maestras, generando as\u00ed un ambiente c\u00e1lido y cercano en torno a la lectura.<\/em><\/p>\n Invitamos a todas las familias a brindar un acceso temprano al mundo de los libros, teniendo a la mano material de lectura en casa y a trav\u00e9s del pr\u00e9stamo que se hace ac\u00e1 de los textos en biblioteca, estableciendo la base para futuros h\u00e1bitos lectores, de igual manera mejorar en sus habilidades de concentraci\u00f3n y atenci\u00f3n, fomentando el gusto por la lectura.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The first year of school marks an important moment in the life of a child and his or her family.
