Third grade students during these first two months have had the opportunity to find in the Dance and Drama class the perfect excuse to awaken their bodies, have fun and create through play and movement. During the development of all activities, these incredible and creative students physically investigate class by class to improve their concentration, focus their attention and develop their empathetic listening.<\/p>\n

The Dance and Drama class is created from multiple engaging activities through group creation processes, as well as kinesthetic experimentation processes through individual challenges and physical conditioning, to achieve a new relationship with space, with your body and that of his companions. During classes we have developed different moments of play, which are intended to be the access route to direct learning to the development of the following skills of our first unit called: \u201dThe language of my body\u201d<\/p>\n

    Dissociated body segments and combined them with joint movements of flexion, extension, abduction, adduction, internal and external rotation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    I physically explore the concepts of body weight and levels in space.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The activities that have been developed to guide these skills are:<\/p>\n

    Colored sides:\u00a0The students have warmed up in relays to explore various body concepts. Perform a physical test according to criteria related to motor abilities (Strength, flexibility,) motor functions (balance and coordination)<\/p>\n

    Mimicry game:\u00a0Representation and evocation of some animals, dissociation of body segments and joint movements.<\/p>\n

    Mobile sculptures:\u00a0Individual and collective creation of positions in stillness that involve a physical and interpretive challenge by applying dance skills and posture.<\/p>\n

    It will undoubtedly be a very fun year for the second grade students of Rochester School, who with their effort and dedication will continue to stand out for their quality, perseverance and determination in the Dance and Drama class.<\/p>\n
